Prepped ingredients and production
House-made syrup, stock, or dough is recorded as an ingredient with a production recipe. Its COGS follows its raw ingredients.

Mark it as prepped
Open or add the ingredient in Ingredients, then turn on Prepped Ingredient. Enter the yield of one batch and the raw ingredients it uses. Its unit price is calculated for you: total ingredient cost divided by the yield.
Step 2
Produce
Press Produce on the ingredient row, enter the yield, then press Produce. Raw ingredient stock at the active branch goes down and the prepped ingredient goes up. Everything is recorded in Stock Movements as Production.
Step 3
Use it in menu recipes
Pick the prepped ingredient in a recipe like any other. Its stock goes down when the menu item sells, and the menu's COGS rises when its raw ingredients get pricier.
Prepped ingredients are left out of reorder suggestions, since their stock is filled through Production.
